The police headquarters has warned of strict action if the law is taken into its own hands, and this warning was issued in a notification sent to the media on Friday (September 20).
The notification said, recently there is a brutal incident of killing people by mass beatings somewhere. Such mob justice cannot be desirable in any way. Bangladesh Police is determined to take strict legal action against anyone who takes the law into their own hands.
It is also said that if someone commits wrongdoing or is guilty, there is a provision for the trial of that person according to the prevailing laws of the country. No one has the right to take the law into his own hands. If a person is wrong and commits a crime, he will be handed over to the law.
If a person commits a wrong or crime, contact the National Emergency Service 999 or the nearest police station. Police headquarters is specially requesting everyone not to take the law into their own hands. The police headquarters is seeking the cooperation of all the conscious citizens of the country to prevent the recurrence of the incident like Mob Justice or Gana Beatuni. Bangladesh Police is committed to maintaining law and order in the country and the safety of people's lives and property.
