The trial of the July genocide will be done in the International Criminal Tribunal, said the advisory of law, justice and parliamentary affairs of the interim government. Asif Nazrul.
He said this while briefing a press briefing at the Secretariat on Wednesday (August 14).
Dr. Asif Nazrul said, ‘The trial of the July genocide is possible in the International Criminal Tribunal. The decision of the government has been decided by the International Criminal Tribunal.’
‘The case is being filed, the trial of genocide and shooting will be tried. It will be investigated as a crime against humanity or not. It will be investigated under the supervision of the United Nations.’
The legal advisor said, ‘The case was taken to withdraw the false and horrific cases across the country within three days. But it was not possible to do it. It was not possible if there was no police force. Now the police will join, hopefully those cases will be withdrawn by August 31. The cases of Dhaka city will be withdrawn by Thursday. Journalist Rozina Islam and Mahmudar Rahman Manna will be withdrawn.’
Asif Nazrul said, ‘Inequality is ubiquitous. On the basis of religion, all the discrimination that has been done on a political basis will be eliminated.’
