Students protested and held a sit-in program in Khulna University demanding the reinstatement of the quota system in the first and second class government jobs and the reform of the system, while the road was blocked in the Zeropoant area of Khulna city in the afternoon.
On Thursday (July 4) at 04 pm, the students started from the main gate of the university and went to Zero Point.
Speakers at the rally said that the students are being made to disrespect through discriminatory quotas. The students have already agitated against all injustices, we will continue to agitate until this discrimination is removed. We will not accept the discrimination that the country has become free for. We will not accept the discrimination of the quota system and demand the reinstatement of the circular issued in 2018.
In the protest march, the students kept chanting various slogans including ‘Amar Sonar Bangla, there is no place for discrimination’, ‘Sarabanglata Khabar De, Kotapratha's grave’, ‘Ar Na Ar Na’.
