A case of Uttara West Police Station, journalist Anis Alamgir has been arrested, and he was reportedly being taken to court on Monday afternoon, Deputy Commissioner of Media and Public Relations Department of Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Muhammad Talebur Rahman, said this.
Earlier on Sunday night, Anis Alamgir was taken to the office of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DB) and he was notified in the DB office for questioning.
Journalist Anis Alamgir, who has recently discussed various speeches on television talk shows, has worked in various media including Daily Ajker Kagaz.
After leaving a gym located at Dhanmondi No. 2, he was taken to the DB on Sunday night. He went out at 8 pm after Batam and did not see anyone inside the gym.
