BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that an opportunity has been created to defeat the demonic forces and build a new Bangladesh, where there will be no division among religions and no politics of hatred.
He made this statement after visiting Dhakeshwari Temple on the occasion of the autumn Durga Puja on Wednesday (October 9) afternoon.
Stating that the Awami League has tortured the Hindu community for the past 15 years, the BNP Secretary General said, if BNP comes to power in the future, every incident of torture against Hindus will be impartially investigated and a fair trial will be ensured.
Fakhrul also mentioned that BNP will take positive steps regarding the eight-point demands of the Hindu-Buddhist-Christian communities.
He said, "The demonic forces were defeated on August 5. Security has been ensured at the pavilions of all regions with the participation of all BNP leaders regarding the celebration of the puja. Today, an opportunity has been created to build a new Bangladesh."
Mirza Fakhrul alleged that some foreign media outlets are conspiring to destroy the country's religious harmony by spreading propaganda. He said, some foreign media outlets are spreading propaganda against the communal harmony of Bangladesh, which is absolutely unacceptable. Some unpleasant incidents occurred due to some political reasons, but they could not harm the communal harmony.
