Volunteer Dal leader Feroze bought nomination papers for Jhenaidah-4 seat

Saiful Islam Firoz, Senior Joint General Secretary of BNP's nominee and Central Volunteer Party, has bought nomination papers to contest in Jhenaidah-4 (part of Kaliganj and Sadar) in the 13th National Assembly elections.

On Monday (December 22), Sandhya collected the nomination papers at Kaliganj Upazila Nirbahi Officer's office, Jhenaidah-4 Constituency Assistant Returning Officer Rezotana Nahid confirmed the poison.

Former Joint Convener of Kaliganj Upazila BNP Nurul Islam, Senior Joint Convener of Municipal BNP Nazrul Islam Tota, former Joint Convener of Upazila BNP Shahidul Islam Saidul, Ilytas Rahman Mithu and others were present.

Assistant Returning Officer and Upazila Nirbahi Officer Rezwotana Nahid said that so far three candidates have collected nomination papers. On Monday afternoon, leaders and activists including Ilytas Rahman Mithu came and bought the nomination papers on behalf of Saiful Islam Feroze.

Jhenaidah-4 seat is made up of 11 unions of Kaliganj upazila and 4 unions of Sadar. In the 13th national parliamentary election, 3 lakh 33 thousand 461 thousand voters will vote for suffrage in 120 polling stations. Among them, 1 lakh 68 thousand 256 female voters, 1 lakh 65 thousand 2000 female voters and 5 people.

It should be noted that Saiful Islam Feroz joined the politics of Chhatra Dal during his early 90s in Dhaka University. He was the public secretary of the Sahabuddin Laltu-Ajijul Bari Helal Committee of the National Chhatra Dal. Later, Feroze was elected General Secretary of Dhaka University Branch Chhatra Dal.

Later he also held the title of Acting President of Central Chhatra Dal. This feat of Jhenaidah is currently serving as the senior joint secretary of the Nationalist Volunteer Party and also participated in the election as the BNP nominated candidate for the Jhenaidah-4 seat in the 11th National Assembly elections.
