The President said, ‘The country is going through a transition period. It is important to form an interim government as soon as possible to overcome this crisis. In the case of other members of the advisory board, he suggested that he discuss and finish off the political parties. This is the government's advice to give a freedom fighter nominee. The President called on the countrymen to cooperate in the crisis.’

This is the Chief of Army Staff General Oz Zaman, Chief of Air Force Eater Chief Marshal Hasan Mahmud Khan, Chief of Navy Admiral Mohammad Nazmul Hasan, Professor Asif Nazrul of Law Department of Dhaka University, Professor Tanzim Uddin Khan of International Relations Department and 13 members of the anti-discrimination student movement were present in the meeting.

Earlier, the leaders of the anti-discrimination student movement proposed the name of Muhammad Yunus as the chief adviser to the interim government. Sahabuddin agreed with their proposal.
