Chief Adviser directs to find ways to solve Dhaka's traffic congestion

The chief advisor of the interim government has instructed the experts of the police and BUET to solve the traffic congestion in the capital Dhaka. Muhammad Yunus.

The chief advisor gave this order during a meeting with the top official of Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) and traffic system expert of Bangladesh University of Engineering (BUET) in his office Yamuna on Monday (September 16).

In the meeting, he said, ‘Our traffic jams It should be reduced. It should be found solution immediately.’

And at least one of the experts at BUET advised them to find some home remedies with the help of their students in at least one traffic corridor, which is asked to fix the signaling system using local skills.

In the meeting, BUET's transport and traffic system expert Professor Moazzem Hossain gave a presentation, he said that the traffic jam in Dhaka city alone causes a loss of at least 40 thousand crore rupees every year.

Additional Commissioner of DMP (Traffic) b. Nazmul Hasan said the traffic situation has continued to improve after more traffic police deployed in recent weeks, which is expected to be fully deployed by the end of next week.

The Special Assistant Lt. Gen., General (Retd.), also addressed the meeting. Abdul Hafeez, BUET Civil Engineering Professor Md Hadiuzzaman and DMP Additional Commissioner Farooq Ahmed.
