I not only saw corruption and mismanagement, I was also a part of it: Bandhan

Actress Ajmeri Haque Badhon had good relations with many in the Awami League government. She has even seen the party's election campaign. As a result, the actress claims that she has seen their activities from a very close distance. Therefore, Badhon has called for not engaging in political engineering or manipulation in the national elections like in the past.

Today, he wrote on social media, "I not only witnessed the corruption and mismanagement that took place around the 2018 and 2024 elections, but I was also a part of it."

Being directly involved in the Awami League's election campaign and being very close to important figures in the government, he saw firsthand how decisions were made and how the administrative structure had become corrupt.

He said, "The ruling party then used every state institution for its own interests, which was extremely immoral and unjust. This has led to a breakdown in public trust, weakened democracy, and had a long-term impact on our future."

Learning from the past, he is expecting something different this time. In his words, "If this time the government chooses a path based on impartiality, transparency and responsibility, it will be the beginning of a real change. A free and fair election is not just a demand, it can be the most powerful and meaningful gift from this government to the people of Bangladesh."

He added, "We want transparency. We want accountability. We want a future that is shaped by truth, not by influence and manipulation."

Ajmeri Haque Badhan's movie 'Esha Murder' is set to release on Eid. Directed by Sunny Sanwar, she plays the role of a police officer. She has never played the role of a police officer in her career.

Apart from him, the film also stars Pooja Agnes Cruz, Farooq Ahmed, Sharif Siraj, Shatabdi Wadud, Sushma Sarkar, Nibir Adnan, Hasnat Ripon, Sarkar Rawnak Ripon, Shilpi Sarkar Apu, AK Azad Setu, Ishika Sakin, Syed Ejaz Ahmed, and others, while Misha Shawdagar and Sumit Sen Gupta made special appearances.
