The chief advisor of the interim government is going to Newiarch on September 24 to attend the United Nations General Session. Muhammad Yunus will leave for Dhaka on the same day after addressing the 79th United Nations General Session on September 27.
On Saturday (September 21), Foreign Advisor Md. Tauhid Hossain came to know about this information and also said that a meeting of representatives of which countries and organizations will be held with the chief advisor.
The foreign adviser said, ‘Netherlands Prime Minister Dick Schoff, Pakistan Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli, European Commission President Ursula von der Layne, US Secretary of State Antonio Blinken, UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, United Nations High Commissioner of Human Rights Volker Turk, World Bank President and Chief Advisor's meeting with the President of the World Bank and the administrator of the World Bank will be confirmed.’
He said, ‘In these meetings, the government will talk about the promises we have. We will talk about the reforms that we have in the past. We have already made a decision on the human rights.’
Moe Tauhid Hossain said, ‘There will be talks in the two-party meetings, but don't go too deep. Because, these meetings are 15 to 20 minutes.’
In response to a question about the previous session of the B.E., he said, ‘I cannot say why the delegation used to go before. I don't know. But the current government has decided that it has to be narrowed down, it will not be spent.’
The foreign advisor said that in the 79th general session of the United Nations, there are 57 people in the Bangladesh delegation in all the mills including security and media.
Incidentally, the 73rd and 74th UN General Assembly included 344 and 335 persons in the Bangladesh delegation. The 75th session was held virtually due to Covid. Despite the limitations of Covid, 108 people in the 76th session and 138 in the 77th session and 146 in the 78th session.
