Moon sighted in Pakistan, Eid on Wednesday

The Shawwal moon was sighted in Pakistan on Tuesday (April 9). Therefore, Eid-ul-Fitr will be celebrated in the country on Wednesday (April 10), according to the country's National Moon Sighting Committee Ruet-e-Hilal Research Council.

The holy month of Ramadan began in the country on March 12. As such, today was the 29th day of Ramadan in the country. This evening, Pakistan's National Moon-Sighting Committee prepared for the Ruet-e-Hilal moon sighting. The country's meteorological department had said in its latest update on Tuesday that the moon would be sighted today.
