After the mass uprising in Barguna, the local leaders and workers of the banned organization Chhatra League broke the lock of the Dalit office of Barguna, which was abandoned after the mass uprising.
This incident took place in Betagi market of the upazila around noon on Monday.
It was led by former joint general secretary of Betagi Chhatra League Asaduzzaman Nadeem, which was attended by the general secretary of the upazila Chhatra League Sifat Sikdar and the former general secretary of the upazila Chhatra League, Mostafa Jamal Shamim, and others.
Eyewitnesses said that in front of the work, Jubo League and banned Chhatra League leaders and activists raised slogans demanding the return of the ousted Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, followed by a banner titled ‘Betagi Upazila Aotami League Dalit Karaltha’ auspicious inaugural' inside and outside the office.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Betagi Police Station Jutuel Islam told the media, ‘I don't know anything about opening the office of Betagi Upazila Aomi League and hanging pictures and banners.’
