The World Bank has promised to give Bangladesh more than two billion dollars in new aid.
Abdullahi Sek, the country director of the organization, said on Tuesday (September 17).
He said that the World Bank has promised to increase debt in Bangladesh in this financial year, which will help the reform program of the interim government.
He added that the World Bank will be able to collect about $2 billion in new funding this financial year, which will provide important reforms, dealing with floods, improving air quality and support in the health sector.
Earlier, on Sunday (September 15), the organization announced a one billion dollar or 1 billion dollar loan assistance to Central Bank.

In the meantime, Bangladesh Bank will receive $750 million as policy based loans, and a loan of $250 million as an investment loan and a guarantee facility is being provided by the World Bank Board by December.
