PTI's decision to become an opposition party

In the 16th parliamentary elections, the most seats in the largest number of seats, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) in the most seats as a single party, have decided to sit in the opposition. Barrister Muhammad Ali Khan Asif, the party's central leader and spokesperson, informed reporters on Friday.

On this day, after the meeting with the other political party Qaumi Otatan Party in the capital Islamabad, Barrister Asif said, ‘Politicians are accusing people - this year, we could have formed the government at the center of the National Assembly (Central Parliament) and the Punjab Legislative Assembly if we got the number of seats we have.’

‘But we are not doing that. Instead, we will be in the opposition in the parliament. It is a party decision.’

He added that PTI Chairman Imran Khan has ordered an alliance with the opposition parties and the PTI has held a meeting with the Qoumi Otatan Party on Friday following the order.

The total number of seats in the National Assembly of Pakistan's Central Parliament is 266. Except for one of these seats, the remaining 265 seats were held on February 8. This was the 16th parliamentary election of Pakistan.

According to the constitutional rules, if a party or alliance in Pakistan is If the party or alliance wants to form the government, then the party or alliance must be elected in 133 seats. But after the release of the election on the 8th, PTI candidates have won the most seats in the three main political parties of the country.

The PMLN Jati in the second position has been in a total of 79 seats and 54 seats in the third position, that is, the minimum majority that is formed for the formation of the government, no party has been able to.

As a result, there was an unprecedented uncertainty in the politics of Pakistan. The most suitable solution to overcome this crisis was to form a coalition government based on the consensus of any two political parties, but which two parties will form an alliance - there has been a huge tragedy among the political parties of Pakistan for the past 9 days. Even the opportunity of the situation that the military forces will take over power in the opportunity of the situation.

This decision of PTI is the first step to overcome that crisis of uncertainty.
