The newly formed interim government has set a date for the policemen to join the work of the policemen and the police force has been in the face of massive public outrage due to the fall of the Awami League government in the mass uprising. If no policeman joins the work by next Thursday (August 15), he will lose his job.
He said this while talking to reporters at the secretariat on Sunday (August 11) afternoon. Earlier in Rajarbagh, he had learned that a date would be given, if any policeman does not join the work by that date, he will be absconding.
Addressing the policemen, the former election commissioner said, ‘By this Thursday, everyone will go to Jagata, be on duty. What has happened, no one will raise their hands in anyone's body unnecessarily. We will do the process of judging. We will judge the judicial department.’
Sakhawat Hossain said, ‘Those who are guilty, they are guilty, whoever is guilty will be punished. No one can be blamed.’
