Police have recovered the bodies of five people, including a woman, from different places in Manikganj in a single day. Their bodies were recovered from different areas of Manikganj Sadar, Ghior and Singair upazilas from Monday morning to noon.
Police said that the bodies of two men were recovered hanging from West Dashra in Manikganj town in the afternoon and Deobhog area in Ghior upazila in the morning. In addition, the police recovered the bodies of an unidentified male worker from Manikganj Sadar Hospital and an unidentified mentally unstable person from in front of the Medical College. A housewife named Rozina Akhtar committed suicide by consuming poison in Deuli area of Singair upazila.
Manikganj Sadar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) SM Aman Ullah said that work is underway to identify the person recovered from the District Sadar Hospital area. Legal action is being taken at the police station concerned in the case of the recovery of the body. After the body is examined, it has been sent to the Manikganj Medical College Hospital morgue for autopsy.
