Government is determined to ensure the fundamental rights of people: Chief Advisor

Chief Advisor Professor Dr. Muhammad Yunus said that the present government is committed to ensuring all basic rights, including human habitation, according to Article 15 of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. The basic human right is the right of humans and the present government is determined to ensure these fundamental rights, including human habitation.

‘He said these things in a message on Sunday (October 6) on the occasion of ’World Habitat Day'.

 The day will be celebrated on Monday (October 7). This year the theme of the day is ‘Involve the youth, the better the city’.

Muhammad Yunus said, the government is making proper plans and implementations to eliminate these adversities in order to speed up and sustain the development of the country.

He said, like many cities in developed countries, the cities or cities of Bangladesh have not yet ensured inclusive sustainable urban development system.

Poverty, discrimination, corruption, economic and social chaos, civil insecurity, environmental disasters and various impacts of water change are suffering from various small cities of this country.

The chief adviser said that youth is a symbol of strength, courage and change. The continuation of the movement of the students in the past movement of the students in the aim of democratic Bangladesh without discrimination, without discrimination, proves that the youth cannot claim the youth of the current interim government.

He expressed his confidence that the dream of the indomitable talent, hard work, sincere devotion and honesty of the youth to establish a Bangladesh without discrimination will bring a new light to the reality.

The Chief Adviser expressed joy and wished for the success of all the activities of the day knowing that ‘World Habitat Day-2024’ is going to be celebrated in Bangladesh, the world's Nature Bangladesh.

It should be noted that the United Nations has been celebrating the first Monday of October every year since 1986 to ensure safe habitat for one of the fundamental rights of people worldwide. In 1985, UNESCO declared it as World Settlement Day.

The day is being celebrated worldwide from next year.
