An incident of attack, vandalism and looting took place in the late night of September 17 at the residence of expatriate Manchur Ahmed in Majumdar Bai of No. 2 Nontaga Unit under Ramganj Thana of Laxmipur District.
In this incident, the expatriate's wife Selina Begum filed a written complaint against 7 people in Ramganj Thana. The accused are residents of Panaullah Bapari Bai and Majumdar Bai of the same village.

In this Bisht, expatriate's wife Selina Begum said, “When the people around came forward after hearing our screams in the middle of the night, they took gold ornaments and cash and went to take away gold ornaments and cash. They threatened to kill and disappear our family in public. We are suffering from insecurity. We are suffering from the administration.”
In this context, Ramganj Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md Soleiman said, “We have received the complaint and appropriate action will be taken subject to investigation.”
