Everyone is suspicious of us: Hasnat Abdullah

Hasnat Abdullah, the anti-discrimination student movement, said, ‘At present, we are facing what we are facing, everyone is doubting us. Why is it that we have been in the format, those who were in this format have tried to use this opportunity to cash in different ways, which is why people have created a misconception.’

He said this at a discussion on ‘Democracy and Good Governance in New Bangladesh: Expectations of Youth in Bangladesh’ at TIB at Midas Center in Dhanmondi of the capital on Sunday (September 15).

‘We have an impact of having a fascist government for so many years. We now have power. We now have power. Everyone thinks that power is the one who is Ravana. I think we have to believe somewhere or not.

i If we start dissonning the power of all forms, then who will change? We have to rely on some power. Somewhere I have to anchor.’

Executive Director of TIB. Iftekharuzzaman's discussion meeting was also addressed by Arif Sohail, one of the conciliators of the anti-discrimination student movement, Samantha Sharmin, spokesperson of the National Committee and Ariful Islam Adeeb, media worker and presenter Farabi Hafiz, young fiction writer Sadat Hossain, Ramyalekhter and media activist Shimu Naser etc.
