The only sacrificial animal market authorized by Savar Municipality has been officially inaugurated on the occasion of the upcoming holy Eid-ul-Azha.
Savar Upazila Executive Officer and Municipal Administrator Md. Abubakar Sarkar inaugurated the market by cutting the ribbon at a ceremony held at Genda Pukurpar Balur field on Tuesday (June 3) morning.
The program organized on this occasion was presided over by former joint secretary of Dhaka district BNP Lion Md. Khorshed Alam. Nazmul Hasan Obi, convener of Dhaka district volunteer party, was present as a special guest.
After the inauguration, the guests toured different parts of the market and inquired about the overall preparations. Atiqur Rahman Raju, the market's lessee, local BNP leaders and activists, and affiliated organizations were present.
The haat authorities said that a fair and safe environment will be ensured for buyers and sellers by maintaining hygiene and law and order.
