US to lift ban on arms sales to Saudi Arabia

The US will lift the ban on the sale of deadly weapons to Saudi Arabia, according to a report on Sunday (May 26) by the British media Financial Times, according to the report of the reporters.

According to a person who is aware of the poison, the Financial Times said that Washington has already indicated to Saudi Arabia that the United States is ready to lift the sanctions.

After taking the plunge of the US in 2021, President Joe Biden took a strong stand against Saudi Arabia, especially in the Saudi military operation against the pro-Iran Houthi rebels in Yemen, and Biden was unhappy with Riyadh's human rights record, and the US administration was against the killing of Washington Post journalist and political opponent Jamal Khashoggi in 2018.

The biggest buyer of US weapons has been banned from selling a few types of weapons due to the Biden government's position. For ages, these weapons were being sold to Saudi, one of the allies in the Middle East, the previous US government.

US Secretary of State Anthony Blincken said on Wednesday that the United States and Saudi Arabia have come very close to a set of agreements to normalize relations between nuclear power, security, defense cooperation and Riyadh and Tel Aviv.

However, the Financial Times has revealed that the withdrawal of the US ban on the sale of deadly weapons is not directly related to this discussion.

When the RACTors requested the White House and the Saudi government communications office to speak out about these poisons, they did not immediately respond.
