Gold prices fell slightly

The price of gold has been reduced slightly after hitting record prices in the domestic market. To buy a 22-carat gold bar, you will have to pay 1,37,449 taka. 

Bajus announced the new price of gold in a statement on Saturday (September 28).

Earlier, gold prices were increased in two phases last Tuesday and Wednesday (September 24-25) in the wake of the increase in the price of acidic gold in the local market. Finally, on Saturday, Bajus announced the new price after the price of acidic gold decreased. This rate will be effective from Sunday (September 29).

According to the new rates, the price of a 22-carat gold bhori (11.664 grams) will be 137,449 taka. In addition, the price of 21-carat gold is 131,197 taka, 18-carat gold is 112,453 taka, and the price of a traditional gold bhori has been fixed at 92,286 taka.

Even though the price of gold has increased, the price of silver has remained unchanged. Currently, the price of 22-carat silver per gram is fixed at 2,100 taka. In addition, the price of 21-carat silver is fixed at 2,06 taka, 18-carat silver is fixed at 1,715 taka and the price of traditional silver is fixed at 1,283 taka.

It is worth noting that the Bangladesh Jewelers Association (BAJUS) announced a total of four increases in gold prices this September. The first increase was on September 14. Then, the price of gold was increased in three more phases on September 21, 24 and 25.
