8 guidelines of the Department of Health of the floods

The Department of Health has issued eight guidelines including the opening of the flood control room.

According to a notification on Thursday (August 22), the recently flood-affected areas have been requested to comply with the following instructions.

The instructions are:

1. All civil surgeons and upazila health and family planning officers in flood affected areas should keep the control room open round the clock.

2 .., with the first aid equipment, a medical team should be formed and prepared at the same time.

3. In every flood affected area, every healthcare institution should have proper preparation for the treatment of potential health risks, snake bites, etc.

4. In the hospitals in flood-affected areas, the equipment should be stored at a high place so that the equipment is not damaged.

5. Ambulances should be prepared with emergency and essential medical supplies and first aid materials.

6. All doctors, nurses and officers of the flood affected districts cannot leave the workplace without the permission of the Director (Health) of the Department.

7. Civil Surgeons and Upazila Health and Family Planning Officers of the flood-affected areas have been requested to contact the Control Room of the Department of Health.

8. Constant coordination and communication with the control room formed by the local administration and the disaster management department should be maintained.
