The government does not want to do anything illegally: Asif Nazrul

Legal Adviser Asif Nazrul said, ‘The interim government has no chance or desire to do anything illegally. There have been many false and harassing cases during the Sheikh Hasina government. We could not withdraw those cases. Many people say that we are not withdrawing so many false, harassing cases."

Asif Nazrul said, ‘The question is also raised as to why we are not withdrawing the case which has been sentenced. It is better to know the law. It is better if the case is given, no matter how false, the unbelievable case against which has been punished, the Ministry of Law has nothing to do without the appeal against him.

He also said, ‘We are trying hard enough. We will be wrong, but one thing is sure, we don't have the opportunity or desire to do anything illegally.’ Janily, the legal advisor said, ‘Anyone from an international human rights organization can be an observer here. The accused can hire a lawyer from any country.’

He said, ‘The trial was being disrupted in the lower court.

There were about 4,500 government advocates during the last fascist government, except one or two people who have fled or are in hiding after August 5. So we have to recruit GP, PP, additional PP. It is not clear from the outside that it is taking so long to recruit.’

He said, ‘We have received about 50 to 60 thousand applications to appoint 4,500 government lawyers. It is scrutinized and selected 4,500 for a ministry, the hard work of my ministry has gone to the officials and employees! I can't explain that. Today I have signed the file of recruitment of 700 government lawyers in Dhaka district. Here too there were about 10 thousand applications.’

Asif Nazrul said, ‘Sometimes people get a little confused. Sometimes I hear people tell me, I hear on social media, why did the price of eggs increase?’ It is Asif Nazrul's fault. A student is not getting treatment! Asif Nazrul is at fault or the fault of the law ministry. Why did the police arrest? That is also the fault of the Ministry of Law.
