Ismail Hossain resigned from the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer from the office of the Upazila Nirbahi Officer on Wednesday to be elected as the Charlorns Unity Parishad by-election chairman of Kamalnagar. On Thursday, July 4, he was unable to submit the nomination papers online on the last day of the nomination papers, but he broke down in tears.
Another chairman candidate Nurul Karim, another chairman candidate like him, appeared at the election office just 1 minute after the scheduled sum, but could not submit the nomination form in the same way.
It is known that on May 17 (Friday) of the current year, Nurul Amin Master, the chairman of the Charlorns Unit Council, died. On June 27, the upazila election office official announced the election schedule in the United Nations. Before that, the post of Chairman was declared vacant in the United Nations on May 19 (Sunday).
In view of this, 19 candidates collected the nomination form for the post of Chairman, 4 (July) till 5 pm on Thursday, the last time to submit the nomination papers.
On this day, 13 candidates submitted their nomination papers.
Not being able to submit the nomination form, candidate for the post of Chairman Nurul Karim said,
After only 1 minute of the scheduled sum (5:10 minutes) he entered the election office office. On the pretext of delaying the election, Zahidul Islam did not submit the nomination paper and instead asked to go to the nomination paper. He said that the video footage of these was recorded with him, but Nurul Karim alleged that the official did this in favor of this.
He also said that when he went to Lakshmipur office to collect the return filing documents, there was no electricity collection, which is why he was late to enter the upazila election office.
Another candidate Ismail Hossain also knows the same thing.
Kamalnagar Upazila Election Officer and Returning Officer Zahidul Islam said that he has accepted all the forms that have been submitted within 5 o'clock. There is no opportunity to accept it even if it is a minute late.
