Students of various educational institutions are protesting by blocking the Dhaka Mahasak in Lakshmipur to demand that the country's killing of students and the people behind the ongoing quota movement across the country be brought to justice, and the anti-discrimination movement, immediately open all the campuses of the country.
On Monday from 3 pm to 6 pm, the students were protesting in front of the Laxmipur-Dhaka Mahasaker Madame Bridge area from different parts of the city.
This has stopped traffic on both sides, and the students suspended the program as it was today when the members of the law enforcement forces rushed to them.
Laxmipur Additional Superintendent of Police Hasan Mostafa Swapan said that efforts are being made to calm the students and the situation is being put under the control of the police. If any untoward incident is tried, it will be strictly suppressed.
