The next 48 hours of heavy rainfall may occur in four divisions, including Dhaka, due to the impact of active monsoon winds, and landslides are at risk of landslides at some places.
On Monday (August 19), the Directorate of Weather has issued this information regarding the heavy rain warning.
It is said that due to the impact of active monsoon winds, heavy rains (44-88 mm/24 hours) from Monday in some parts of Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal and Chittagong divisions may occur in the next 48 hours from Monday. Due to heavy rains, there is a risk of landslides in the Pahaji area of Chittagong Division due to heavy rains.
Meanwhile, there may be light to moderate rain/ thunderstorm with temporary gusts/storms in most places of Rangpur, Mymensingh, Dhaka, Khulna, Barisal, Chittagong and Sylhet divisions and many places in Rajshahi division.
