The interim government has decided to withdraw all the district administrators (DCs) in the country, which will be withdrawn by Tuesday (August 20) and the new DC appointment will be given.
According to the Cabinet Division and Ministry of Public Administration, new DC appointment will be given from among BCS 24, 25 and 27 officers including the newly promoted Deputy Secretary. The standard of employment will be merit, skill and integrity.
The DC appointment issue will be taken by the five officials who were deprived of the previous government's tenure, they are BCS 24 batch Nurjahan Khanam and Nazrul Islam, 25 batch Nurul Karim Bhuita and Farida Khanam and Sarotar Alam of 27 batch.
It is learned that the oral examination of the administration officials who wished to become DC was held on Monday (August 19) afternoon and the new DC will be appointed by today or tomorrow.

Earlier, 876 representatives were removed by the local government department, including 60 district council chairmen, 493 upazila chairman and 323 municipal metropolises.
The government has issued a notification removing 988 Upazila Parishad Vice Chairman and Female Vice Cheterman.
