High Court asks for report confirming flow of Bhulua River

He issued a ruling as to why the administration's innocence and failure to occupy all canals including Bhuluta river in Kamalnagar of Lakshmipur due to man-made floods would not be declared beneficent.

Within 48 hours of receiving the order, the possession of Bhuluta river has been investigated and ordered to be filed with the High Court by eviction of the encroachment within 10 working days and ensuring the water flow of the Bhuluta river.

The double bench of Hon'ble Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice AKM Rabiul Hasan Mood issued the order today on September 5. The writ was given by Advocate Abdus Sattar (Palotan) in public interest and the hearing was conducted by himself.

Earlier, after the news was published in Palli News on August 26, Advocate Abdus Sattar (Palotan) noticed that he himself filed it in the High Court on September 4.

It should be noted that 3 lakh people have been living the life of humanity with water trapped in water for 45 days on the banks of Gulua river in Noakhali Lakshipur.
