At least 10 workers were burnt in the blast at SN Shipyard in Sitakunda Upazila of Chittagong and the accident took place at this yard in Shitalpur area around 12 noon on Saturday.
Bangladesh ship breaker And Recyclers Association (BSBRA) Assistant Secretary Nazmul Islam confirmed the poison.
He said that the cause of the explosion is yet to be confirmed.
Chittagong Medical College Hospital Police Outpost Sub-Inspector Alauddin Talukder said that 10 injured people have been admitted to the hospital.
Assistant Secretary Nazmul Islam said that they reached out to ensure proper treatment of the injured.
The identity of the victims was not immediately known.
