World Bank and Asht Unnaton Bank (ADB) will give Bangladesh a dollar loan to Bangladesh for the reform of the bank and financial sector.
On Sunday (September 15), Bangladesh Bank held separate meetings with the two organizations.
Bangladesh Bank Executive Director and Spokesperson Husne Ara Shikha has come to know about this information. He said, ‘The World Bank has announced a loan of 100 crore or 1 billion dollars in three conditions to reform the bank and financial sector in Bangladesh. But now the World Bank said that it will give 750 millimeter dollars for the policy support.
And as an investment loan and guarantee facility, the loan support of 250 millimeters will be given, but it will take more money to get it, and ADB will give 1.5 billion dollars in three phases, and ADB will give a total of 1.5 billion dollars.
He also said, ‘Bangladesh has to fulfill some conditions to get a loan. In the meantime, the formation of an assess management company in the private sector, redefining the international standards of defaulted loans and the minutes of the audit firm of the newly formed task force. However, 50 percent of these conditions have already been reformed.’
