Ramganj police station of Laxmipur district has arrested three people including Tamta Otard councilor of the municipality case.
They were arrested from Tamta and Nandpur areas on Tuesday (October 1) night raids.
The arrested are - Municipal No. 8 Tamta andard Councilor Shahid Pattori, Jubo League leaders Zakir Hossain and Abdur Rahman.
It is known that during the rule of Aomi League, the arrested under the influence of Dalit influence collected money from businessmen named Mojibur Rahman Kajal of Jthpura village of No. 1 Kanchanpur Union of Upazila.
When Kajal Ramganj Thana was filed a case in this regard, the police arrested them, Ramganj police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abul Bashar said that the extortion case was arrested and three people were arrested and sent to jail.
