23 judges have taken oath in the Supreme Court's High Court Division, 23 Justices have taken oath, and Chief Justice Saitra Refat Ahmed administered the oath of office at the Judges Lounge of the Supreme Court on Wednesday (19 October) and the swearing-in ceremony was conducted by the Registrar of the Supreme Court.
Yesterday (Tuesday) a notification was issued by the Ministry of Law to 23 people to be appointed as judges in the High Court Division of the Supreme Court on the order of the President.
Law Secretary. According to the notification signed by Golam Rabbani, His Excellency the President has appointed an additional judge of Bangladesh Supreme Court, High Court Division for not more than two years from the date of taking oath by the following powers given in Article 98 of the Constitution of the People's Republic of Bangladesh. They are – Md. Golam Mortuza Majumdar, Saitad Ennat Hossain, Md. Mansoor Alam, Saitad Zaheed Mansoor, KM Rasheduzzaman Raja, Md. Jabid Hossain, Mubina Asaf, Kazi Otaliul Islam, Ainun Nahar Siddika, Md. Abdul Mannan, Tamanna Rahman, Md. Shafiul Alam Mahmud, Md. Hamidur Rahman, Nasreen Akhtar, Sathika Hossain, Said Mohammad Tajrul Hossain, Md. Taufiq Inam, Yusuf Abdullah Sumon, Sheikh Tahsin Ali, Fatz Ahmed, Md. Sagir Hossain, Shikdar Mahmudur Razi and Debashish Rata Chowdhury.
