There has been a controversy over the performance of Islamic music on the Sharadita Durgotsav stage in Chittagong. On Thursday (October 10), a group of youth performed Islamic music on the stage of JM Sena in the city, whose members were alleged to be associated with the Islamic Student Camp's cultural organization Chittagong Cultural Academy, but this organization has denied the allegations.
It is known that the organization went to sing at the pujamandap on the invitation of a leader of the puja celebration committee. Members of the organization Shah Abdul Karim's famous song ‘Age ki Sundar Din Kataitam’ And ‘Just Muslim Lagi Asiniko Islam, God's welfare for the world's welfare’ performed two songs. Among them, the video of the song “Just Muslimer Lagi Asiniko Islam” has created a mixed reaction among the traditional religions after getting on Facebook.
Hillol Sen Ujjal, general secretary of Chittagong Nagar Puja Udjakar Parishad, said that the members of the organization performed the song on the invitation of joint secretary Sajal Dutta. He said, “I was not at the scene, but they came with our permission.” On the other hand, the president of the organization, Salim Zaman, claimed that they did not work for any forced, but instead sang in the Dawat page.
Amir AJM Obatedullah said, “Jamaat has nothing to do with this song group. No one from the congregation was present at the venue to sing.”
Chittagong Metropolitan Police Deputy Commissioner (South) Litakat Ali has known that they are in discussion with the leaders of the Puja Celebration Council on this poison, he said, “If Complaints are made, but legal action will be taken.”
As seen in the video on Facebook, five young people are performing Islamic music with microphones, which has created controversy on social media. Many see it as a scheming.
