Referring to Islamic music in Chittagong Pujamandap, BNP Joint Secretary General Shahid Uddin Chowdhury said, "They are not the case to be tolerated. They are in a strategy of dividing the nation by using a conspiracy. They (Awami League) are trying to hurt religion from far away and they will not give anyone a chance to attack religion."
He said this while visiting the Durga Puja Mandap of Laxmipur Municipality on Friday (October 11) night.
The BNP leader said it was a blow to the traditional religion, as it is an insult to Islam, it is part of the deep sacred instrument. Hindu worship is not like Islamic music to Hindus, in the same way if in a mosque. Muslims will not like that by chanting.
Annie said, "Those who have committed murders, smuggling crores of rupees, they are sitting on the other side (India) are trying to hurt religion but their schematic is not like accepting it. We all have to be alert and careful because after the independence of 1971 we got another freedom in 2024.
