In view of the decision in the meeting of the advisory council of the interim government, the cabinet department has issued an order canceling the eight national days.
The order has been sent to the Chief Advisor's Chief Secretary on behalf of the Cabinet Department on Wednesday, the Secretary/Senea Secretary of all the Ministry, Chief Information Officer, Divisional Commissioner, District Commissioner (DC) and Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO).

- March 17 (Father's Day and National Children's Day)
- August 5 (Martyr Captain Sheikh Kamal's Birth Anniversary)
- August 8 (Bangamata Begum Fazilatun Nescha Mujib's Birth Anniversary)
- August 15 (Nation of Mourning Day)
- October 18 (Sheikh Russell Day)
- November 4 (Nation Constitution Day)
- December 12 (Smart Bangladesh Day)
In a letter signed by the then Cabinet Secretary Mahbub Hossain on October 7, I will instruct the concerned department to take action in this regard.
