Prosecution seeks arrest warrant against 50 people including Hasina

The trial of the genocide case during the student-crowd movement in July-August has started at the International Criminal Tribunal.

As part of the trial, the prosecution team of the tribunal will seek arrest and arrest against 50 people including Sheikh Hasina in the genocide, along with the top leaders of the Awami League, which will be shown in the tribunal.

Earlier on October 13, Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, Advocate Tajul Islam, came to know about the support of Interpol to bring the fugitives back to the country.

On that day, he told the media that if the judge is appointed, there will be an application to see the ban on leaving the country against the accused of the July massacre this week.

Earlier, on September 5, Supreme Court lawyer Advocate Mohammad Tajul Islam was appointed as Chief Prosecutor of the International Criminal Tribunal, while the other five prosecutors of the prosecution team are - Md. Mizanul Islam, Gazi Monaotar Hussain Tamim, BM Sultan Mahmud, Abdullah Al Noman and Md. Saimum Reza Talukdar.

Meanwhile, the International Criminal Tribunal has reorganized the investigation agency with 10 officials, where the investigation agency coordinator Md. Mazharul Haque (Additional DIG, Retired) and Coordinator Muhammad Shahiduliah Chowdhury (Super of Police, Retired) has been appointed as Coordinator.

The other officials of the investigation agency are - Md. Alamgir (Additional Superintendent of Police, Anti-Terrorism Unit Dhaka), Moha. Monirul Islam (Additional Superintendent of Police, PBI Head Coaters), Md. Jane Alam (Additional Superintendent of Police, Special Branch, Dhaka), Said Abdur Rauf (Assistant Superintendent of Police, Traffic and Driving School, Dhaka), Md. Yunus (Police Inspector-Unstructured, CID), Md. Masud Parvez (Police Inspector-Unstructured, Charghat Model Police Station, Rajshahi), Muhammad Alamgir Sarkar (Police Inspector-Unstructured, RRF-Dhaka) and Md. Moshiur Rahman (Police Inspector-Unstructured, CID, Dhaka Metro-North).
