FIFA wants to keep Messi's club in Club World Cup

The Club World Cup will be held in the United States next year. The tournament will be held for the first time with 32 teams in its 21st edition. 30 teams have already been finalized. Inter Miami is going to play in the Club World Cup as one of the remaining two teams.

However, the club will play as a guest team rather than qualifying. FIFA, the world football governing body, wants to give Inter Miami this privilege.

FIFA has not yet made any official statement regarding granting Inter Miami the opportunity to play as a guest team, but according to Spanish media outlet Marca, the matter has already been finalized.

FIFA has not yet clarified what criteria it will use for Miami to play as a guest. However, FIFA will clarify its position on the matter soon. FIFA will officially announce and invite Miami to play in the Club World Cup.

Four teams from the CONCACAF region qualify for the Club World Cup.

Monterrey, Leo, Pachuca and Sounders have already secured this spot. Miami will also get the chance as the regular league champion. However, if that doesn't happen, they will be given the opportunity as the host. To avoid any confusion, FIFA will soon announce Inter Miami's Club World Cup participation.

FIFA has already finalized the names of 12 UEFA teams, 5 CONMEBOL teams, and 4 CONCACAF teams for the Club World Cup.

In addition, an equal number of four teams each have been drawn from FC and CAF. Among the final 30 clubs, one club has secured a place from the Oceania region.
