Mirpur Model Thana Police has arrested Saided Saadul Haque Sumon alias Barrister Sumon, former Member of Parliament of Habiganj-4 Constituency in the case of killing a student in a mass uprising.
Pallabi Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Nazrul Islam confirmed this information.
Two cases of Adabar Thana of the capital and the killing of Mirpur Model Police Station have been filed in the name of Barrister Sumon.
According to the police, Barrister Suman has been kept in Pallavi police station for the time being due to the renovation of Mirpur Model Police Station, he will be taken to the court on Tuesday, and earlier on Monday night, Barrister Suman announced his arrest in a Facebook post.
He was arrested from the house of Baner 6, Mirpur, around 1:30 on Monday night.
