The police recovered the hanging body of a young man named Jihad Sardar (18) in Saltha Upazila of Faridpur.
His body was recovered from a mango tree in Singh Pratap village of Gatti union of the upazila on Tuesday morning.
The deceased Jihad Sardar is the son of deceased Shahjahan Sardar of that village.
According to the police and the family of the deceased, Jihad was ill-tempered, mentally ill and suffering from respiratory disease for a long time. Last night without everyone's knowledge, he committed suicide by hanging a lylon rope with a mango tree in the north side of the pond.
This morning, his aunt Jahanara Begum found Jihad hanging while going to the pond and informed the family members, who later informed the police, who went to the spot and recovered the body and brought the body to the police station.
Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Saltha Police Station. Ataur Rahman said that after receiving the information, the police went to the spot and recovered the body and legal action is under process in this regard.
