A van driver died in two road accidents in Chittagong's Sitakunda.
The accident took place at the north bypass of the city at 5 pm, the deceased van driver Mominul Haque (45) was a resident of Gaibandha district.
A driver was injured in a head-on collision between a covered van and a drum truck at Faujdarhat Bandar Link Road at 10 am and the fire service team rescued the injured and sent him to the hospital.
According to the fire service, a Dhaka-bound drum truck collided head-on with a Dhaka-bound covered van, which broke down in the front of the two cars and the driver of the covered van was trapped inside, after the injured driver Munchur (23) was rescued, said Kumira Fire Station Officer Al Mamun, who was home to the police.
On the other hand, a speeding bus was hit by a speeding bus on the way to Sheikhpara Bahar Enterprise carrying the goods and the van driver died on the spot.
