BNP Standing Committee member Salahuddin Ahmad knows that if independence cannot be consolidated, it will be subjugation.
He made this comment in a speech at the discussion meeting organized by BNP on the occasion of Victory Day at Ramna Engineers Institute in the capital on Monday (December 15).
Salahuddin Ahmad said, if the people become inactive after the mass uprising of 24, democracy cannot be institutionalized.
He said that efforts are being made to insult the democratic struggle of the country and multi-dimensional conspiracy is going on so that the transition to democracy is not easy.
In the discussion meeting, BNP Secretary General Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir said that the attacker of the juli fighter, Inkilab Manch, Osman Hadi, has been identified as an Awami League member who wants to identify the BNP for the incident with a savvy purpose.
He said that all the good achievements of Bangladesh have come under the hands of martyred President Ziaur Rahman, Begum Khaleda Zia and BNP. Now new dreams are being created by the hands of Tariq Rahman.
Mirza Fakhrul warned that a group wants to undermine democracy, which is very important for the country because it will determine whether the country will move forward or backward.
He said that many of the July 24 fighters are apprehensive about their security during the post-election government, he promised to ensure full security of the fighters if BNP comes to power.
