Parliament building to welcome new MPs

After years of mass uprising, the country is going to get a new government and parliament. The national parliament building is also preparing to welcome the new MPs. The parliament building is being prepared around the swearing-in ceremony of Tuesday's new cabinet and parliamentarians, which has been raised in the security force of the Kathra.

It is said that the oath will be held by the South Plaza Members of Parliament for the 10 am on Tuesday. The swearing-in of the National Assembly will be held by the Chief Election Commissioner (CEC) AMM Nasir Uddin, then the leader of the BNP will be elected as the leader of the party in the Nation.

Then on Tuesday at 4 pm in the South Plaza of the Sangsad Bhavan will be the Prime Minister and the Cabinet swearing in. Sahabuddin will take oath of the cabinet.

On the ground, since Monday morning, there have been various urges to prepare two swearing-in events from the Sangsad Bhavan area, but no one has been allowed to enter inside with strict security measures. The entire Sangsad Bhavan area has been deployed in large numbers of police and other law enforcement personnel, barricades at all entrance gates, the main entrance gate is closed. Ansar and policemen are serving at the gate.

On the ground, the work of disposal of the National Parliament building is going on with the swearing-in, the preparatory work is going on in the South Plaza and swearing-room of the parliament building.

On the day of the mass uprising on August 5, 2024, the Jati Sangsad Bhavan was also carried out in the Jatiya Sangsad Bhavan on the day of the mass uprising. The parliament building sources have known that the parts that were damaged in the mass uprising are being repaired. Two days after the election, the cabinet department and Parliament Secretariat have started preparations for the swearing-in ceremony from Saturday.

Kaniz Mawla, secretary of the National Parliament Secretariat, told reporters that all arrangements are being made for the swearing-in of parliamentarians and the new government in the afternoon.

The Sangsad Bhavan area has also seen that the situation is still normal for normal days.

According to the constitution, the Election Commission has issued a swearing-in of the sworn in members of the elected members within three days of the publication of the gazette. The Election Commission published the gazette of the Jatids in 297 out of 299 seats in the 13th parliamentary elections on Friday night.

BNP has won an absolute majority by winning 209 seats in the election while one of their alliance allies Jamaat-e-Islami 11 party Oikyazot is going to sit in the opposition party with 77 seats. Other parties and independent candidates have won the rest of the seats.
