Eggs and chickens not available at fixed prices
Broiler and golden chicken and farm eggs are not available at the prices fixed by the government. After investigating in some markets in the capital, it has been learned that these three products are not being sold at the fixed prices. Farmers say that they will have to face losses as the price of eggs and chicken is lower than the production cost. Earlier, on Sunday (September 15), the government fixed the new price of chicken and eggs. It said that the egg has been fixed at 10 taka 58 paisa per piece at the producer level, 11 taka 01 paisa at the wholesale level and 11 taka 87 paisa at the retail level.
