The low pressure area over the east-central Bay of Bengal and adjacent North Andaman Sea has moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a depression in the same area. As a result, four seaports of the country have been asked to display warning signals. This was stated in a special weather bulletin issued on Tuesday morning. It further said that at 6 am on Tuesday, it was located 765 km southwest of Chittagong Seaport, 700 km south-southwest of Cox's Bazar Seaport, 820 km south-southeast of Mongla Seaport and 760 km south-southeast of Payra Seaport. It has further moved west-northwestwards and intensified into a depression, with maximum sustained wind speed reaching 40 kmph, which is gusty or squally.
