High Court asks for report confirming flow of Bhulua River
He issued a rule asking why the administration's inaction and failure to occupy all canals including the Bhulua River in Kamalnagar, Lakshmipur, regarding the man-made flood, should not be declared a beini. He ordered an investigation into the encroachment of the Bhulua River within 48 hours of receiving the order and to submit a report to the High Court within 10 working days after the encroachment was cleared and the water flow of the Bhulua River ensured. The High Court's double bench of Honorable Justice Farah Mahbub and Justice AKM Rabiul Hasan passed this order on September 5.
