5 more dengue deaths, 981 people hospitalized
Five people have died in the country due to dengue fever, a disease spread by Aedes mosquitoes, in the last 24 hours. During this period, 981 patients have been admitted to hospitals. The Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) announced this information on the dengue situation in the country on Tuesday (October 8). According to the DGHS, the number of dengue patients admitted to hospitals this year has increased to 38,789 with new patients. 193 people have died. Of the patients admitted in the last one day, 376 were admitted to various hospitals in the two city corporation areas of Dhaka.
