He has accused Muhammad Didarul Islam Khandaker, a municipal councilor and joint convener of the municipal BNP in Ramgati, Lakshmipur, of spreading misinformation. He has claimed that a faction of the Awami League, led by former councilor of the same municipality and another joint convener of the municipal BNP, Aparup Das, is running this campaign. Aparup is the upazila correspondent of the Manabzamin newspaper. The victim alleged that the newspaper is resorting to spreading misinformation by publishing one-sided news.
