How presidential power is transferred in the United States
Keir Starmer won the parliamentary election in Britain by a landslide in July. He took office as Prime Minister just one day after winning. However, the opposite is true in the United States. Donald Trump won the presidential election on November 5. But he will have to wait 76 days to become president again. What is the reason? Like other parliamentary democracies, the British opposition forms a shadow government through which they are ready to take power after winning the election. There is no such system in the United States. The future president of America has to start everything from scratch. He has to fill various positions in the government's vast administrative system.
