Palestinian Prime Minister resigns

Palestinian Prime Minister Mohamed Shatayh has announced the resignation of the Gaza Israeli forces and the death of people from the increase in violence and starvation in the West Bank and Jerusalem.

He resigned on Monday (Feb. 26) and submitted his resignation to Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas, according to Al Jazeera.

Mohammed Shatayeh said that the next stage of the Israeli genocide and its challenges requires a new government and political system in Palestine, which is the need for unity in Palestine, and the expansion of the unity of authority in the land of Palestine is needed.

Mohamed Shatayyah started his career in teaching at Birjait University in the West Bank of Palestine, and was the Secretary General of the Election Commission of Palestine from 1995 to 1998. He was the Minister of Employment and Housing in the Palestinian Government from 2005 to 2010. Then in 2019, Shataeh became the Prime Minister of Palestine.
